Dunfermline S1 Squad observe minutes silence in rememberance of the fallen. Dunfermline maintain unbeaten run with hard fought encounter at Boroughmuir.

S1 Squad:
Forwards: Lewis Cook, Cal Clarke, Jay Hogg, Thomas Pooley, Kieran Twaddle, Jonathan Scott (Capt) Jackson Moyles, Cameron Shaw, Kieran Wilson, John Lymburn and Euan Duncan.
Backs: Aidan Reddick, Ben Dollery, Euan Colston, Cameron Symes, Lewis Buchan, Sean Clark, Andrew Waterworth, Kray Hynd and Harvey Watson.

Todays match saw the S1 squad travel to Boroughmuir for what the coaches thought would be a rare serious physical test for the boys. The game started well for Dunfermline with their No.8 catching the kick off and running straight at the home side. The ball went through several phases of play until Thomas Pooley was bundled over the line by his fellow forwards to open the scoring in the 2nd minute, Ben Dollery converting the kick.
Dunfermline knew they were in a game and were being tackled time and again. This is something that the boys were not used to in recent weeks, however again the S1 were up for the physical challenge.
The standard of play from the boys was of the highest order passing the ball around for fun. Although Dunfermline only scored 2 first half trys, the second for Cameron Symes was a beauty, with the boys camped in their own 22 they turned the ball over and sprayed the ball wide, after a few phases of play Euan Colston executed a cracking switch with his outside centre to create a gap as wide as the Clyde. The try was converted by Jonathan Scott.
Boroughmuir scored a good try on halftime, but some of the missed tackles left alot to be desired.

Half time Boroughmuir 3 V 8 Dunfermline S1

The second half the Dunfermline boys blew the home team away. Cameron Symes added 3 trys to his total and was simply to much for the home side to handle. Cal Clarke scored try number 6 in the 35th minute when he supported Dunfermline winger Lewis Buchan and received the offload to finish of the move in style.
Try number 7 was from Euan Colston, all day the Dunfermline centre was trying to read the interception, and in the 36th minute Euan finally timed it right. He caught the ball in his own half when the home sides standoff played a loose pass, Euan burst through the gap and had so much time to score the crowd were calling for a Chris Ashton!.
The boys were complimented by the coaches for their performance today and they look forwards to Stirling at home next week.

Thanks to Boroughmuir for hosting todays game in what was superb facilities.
