11 try haul as S1 squad ease to convincing home win. Today's match ball was sponsored by Maisie and Daniel Pooley, sister and brother of Dunferline S1 second row Thomas Pooley. Maisie and Daniel can be seen in the picture below presenting the ball.

Squad,
Forwards: Lewis Cook, Cal Clarke, Jay Hogg, Thomas Pooley, Kieran Twaddle, Jonathan Scott (Capt), Euan Duncan, Kieran Wilson, Mark McAdam and Alex Featherstone.

Backs; Aidan Reddick, Euan Colston, Jackson Moyles, Cameron Symes, Lewis Buchan, Sean Clark, Andrew Waterworth, James Adam, Cameron Shaw and Harvey Watson.

After the holiday period the coaches had a squad of 20 to choose from, and with Crieff having a full squad as well it was decided that a 15 aside game was going to be the order of the day.
The coaches made it clear to the boys before the kick off that they needed to move the ball through the hands more and make more effort to keep the game alive and play good rugby, and to be fair they responded really well.
The game was to have a familiar feel to it with the S1 squad taking the game straight at Crieff from the off. The first try was scored in the 3rd minute by Cameron Symes who finnished off an excellent move under the posts, Jonathan Scott was able to convert 5 of his 11 kicks so certainly room for improvement but still a good effort.
The second try in the 8th minute was to be the pick of Sean Clarks 4 try haul linking well with full back Andrew Waterworth to cross the Crieff line. Sean was also to score a further 3 trys in the 21st, 30th and 32nd minute respectively.
Andrew Waterworth who is quickly cementing his place as the S1 fullback got his name on the score board when he timed his overlap run to perfection to finish off a fine move.
Further scores were ran in by Cameron Symes 15 minutes, Euan Colston 16 minute and Lewis Buchan right on half time.

Half time Score: Dunfermline 21 V 0 Crieff.

In the second half Dunfermline scored straight away through Sean Clark, then for a period of 6 or 7 minutes Crieff started to get involved a bit in the midfield with tackles flying in everywhere and some good rucking from both teams on display. Euan Colston scored his second try of the day when he spotted the hugh gap in the Crieff defence to finish between the posts in 28 minutes. Lewis Buchan finished of the scoring in the 35 minute with his second try to seal a fine home win for the S1 squad.
Final score: Dunfermline 42 V 0 Crieff.

Today was a great day for the boys with their brilliant efforts in the sponsored cycle.
The boys again have to be praised for their behaviour and discipline both on and off the pitch.

The boys and the coaches would like to say a bit thank you to all the Mums and Sisters who helped out in the clubhouse/kitchen, Without the help of these ladies our home games would not be the same, THANK YOU!

Lastly the boys look forwards to an away fixture at Livingston next week. Well done today boys!.

Saying of the week!
The key to a good captain is to keep the seven guy's who can not stand you away from the seven guy's that have not made their minds up!
