Dunfermline S2s beat Cartha QP

Dunfermline S2's opened their campaign in the new Galant Conference with a solid performance away to Cartha Queens Park.
Dunfermline showed their intent early on with some fine handling moves, and this coupled with an increased confidence in contact saw us score two very decent early tries, one converted.
Cartha fought back with a well worked try down the right touchline, though Dunfermline quickly re-established their two try advantage before half time.
A large number of positional changes after the half time break disrupted our fluency, and we struggled to find that cutting edge. Well worth the effort though to see the players take on the challenge and play in some unfamiliar positions. In any case, a good defensive effort prevented Cartha from adding to their tally, exemplified by a cracking tap tackle on the Cartha winger in full flight by Matthew H, just when he seemed to have been beaten for pace.
Dunfermline finally finished the scoring after a direct move down the middle, with good support play, led to a converted try.
