U16 End Season with Plate Win No. 3

The last match of the seasons saw the U16's win the Caledonia Plate for the 3rd Successive year. The disappointment of last weeks loss to Granite City was behind the squad as they took on Ellon for the 2nd time since January. For long parts of the game Dunfermline attacked with pace and strong displays from numerous Dunfermline player saw them go int half time 31-3 ahead. . Ellon to their credit came back at Dunfy in the second half, and closed the points difference to just 14 before Dunfy settled the game late on with a couple of tries to win in the end 48-17.

This season has been good for a squad that was put together by merging last years U15's with the U16's from last year who could not move up due to age.

In all 6 of the squad played for the Caledonia U16's or 17's showing the work from previous years is paying off.
