Under 16s secure win over Eagles

Credit to both teams today for producing as good a game of rugby as we got in pretty awful conditions. In the end the boys produced a strong performance to earn a hard fought and deserved win against a team we have struggled against in recent seasons.

Dunfermline had the best of the intial exchanges scoring their first try through a run to the corner from Adam however Dundee came back into the game with two scores of their own before half time. Dunfermline tho wern't finished and a quick penalty in the Dundee 22 led to a series of rucks before Couch forced his way over for a score just before half time (HT: 10 v 12)

With the weather worsening, the boys played a simple game looking for terroitory. In securing their own set piece ball and winning some of Dundee's particulalry in the scrum the boys had the edge for much of the second half and a passing move allowed Brian space on the outside channel to run deep into the Dundee half before winning the race for a kick ahead to score the winning try. Smiles all around at the end with a great team effort overall. Thanks to Dundee for travelling down for the game. Credit to everyone on the sidelines for surviving the wind and rain and the catering team for the much needed coffee and pies afterwards.
