A rare occurance for the under 16 squad, a game in December. Usually winter has struck with avengence by now and everything is cancelled but the recent good weather and warm sunshine today made for a good afternoon for rugby at McKane. Grangemouth were our visitors and with only nine of a squad it meant a bit of fiddling with the sides to make the numbers up for a fourteen a side game.
Dunfermline started the game purposefully and scored within the first five minutes through Jamie, followed then by scores from Callum, Jordi, Danny and Mark with Grangemeouth scoring one of their own. Half time 27 v 5.
Second half saw a closer contest with Dunfermline preventing any scores and adding four more tries through Adam (2), Brian and Jordi. Full time 49 v 5.
At times there was good rugby played today and a few more things tried out. Hopefully the weather will continue to hold, next week should see Waid visit McKane for our final match in the league before the end of the year action at St Andrews on the 15th to determine cup qualification for next year.
Thanks to Grangemouth for the match today, the catering team for the food afters and to everyone who turned up to support. Training will be Wednesday @ Woodmill 7.00 kick off.
