Dunfermline U15's just come up short in low scoring encounter.

After departing from Dunfermline with clear skies, the arrival to a wet downpour over Greenock was an unpleasant surprise.

A spectator's game it was not, as difficult conditions kept the game in a start-stop motion.
Not much to cheer for throughout the fixture, as the low score may suggest.

Dunfermline started off well after being inside the Greenock 22m for a long spell of time. Following a couple of surges at the try line which ultimately ended in knock ons, Dunfermline eventually dived over through Aaron Hurst with a show and go dummy, scoring just to the right of the posts.
Missed conversion.
Greenock 0-5 Dunfermline

The remaining quarter of the first half was spent trading possession with the opposition team, until the penalty count crept up and Greenock scored their first try of the day just on the stroke of halftime.
Missed conversion.
Greenock 5-5 Dunfermline

The second half had been spent scrummaging for a large majority of it's time whilst the ongoing drizzle further took it's toll.

Greenock were able to score a second try off of a spilled ball from Dunfermline, the opposition kicked the ball through and caused some disorientation in a scrambled Dunfermline defence.
Despite some hard work and cover tackling from the back, the go forward and territory gained from the home side just applied too much pressure as they crossed over for try number two.
Missed conversion.
Greenock 10-5 Dunfermline

Following the kick off after the recent try, the ball had barely moved from it's landing point for the rest of the game.
Swapping blows and possession of the ball in the meantime, meant that both sides were left wanting more.

Dunfermline had possession within the final 10minutes of the game. The visitors shown great intent to carry the ball in attempt to get further into the opposition half.
However, the home side stuck out and ultimately got the better of the end result.

This week's Man of the Match goes to Derryn Wilson.
Special mention for Connor McFarland and the team.
